Folli Follie had an established brand in the Johannesburg market but was still relatively unknown in the Cape Town market except among customers who had come across the brand when travelling overseas or visiting Johannesburg. For this reason, the client tasked us with launching the first store in Canal Walk to the Cape Town market.
With an understanding of the Cape Town market, Rebels Playground conceptualised and implemented a VIP event targeting key media and influential personalities in the lifestyle and fashion industries in Cape Town.
An evening of glitz and glamour was conceptualised and implemented by Rebels Playground where we tapped into our network of media and well-known South African celebrities living in Cape Town. The VIP event consisted of entertainment by global sensation Sterling EQ, a gin bar with custom made cocktails for our VIP guests and the launch of the Club Riviera collection from the global shores of Greece.
The event resulted in a 100% turnout from a guest list and a spin-off of PR exposure for the brand through Cosmopolitan Magazine, Fairlady Magazine and organic exposure through celebrity social media platforms.
